Focus and Intention For The Day
Hi,
Today is International Peace Day.
I'd like to invite you to just stop for a minute in your busy day today and focus on your internal state.
How are you? Agitated and unfocused? Restless? Calm?
Take a moment to really focus on what is happening right now in your body and start to follow your breath.
Keep you attention on your breath and breathe through any tension in your body until it dissipates and you relax.
Reside in this for a full minute and then turn your attention to the world around you and send your intention for peace to anyone or any part of the world you choose to, maybe even the whole earth, it needs your support!
Yesterday I went for the first time to The National Ploughing Competition. What a sense of community and camaraderie there was amongst the thousands of people who went.
After walking around the show's stalls amid the thousands of people I found myself wanting to connect with the reason for the show. Now I'm a bit of a horse lover and so I took myself off to watch the horse ploughing.
It was a relief to get away from the crowds and walk out across the fields, past the tractors, new and vintage to the very far end of the field. As I walked I enjoyed the air and open vista around me, watching as people relaxed enjoying the spectacle of the ploughing until I got to the horses.
How magical and what a lesson to be learnt from these magnificent creatures,.
Man and horse working in perfect harmony, totally in the present moment, utterly focused, trusting and respecting of each other.
It was such a joy to stop and just be present in the moment with them.
Todays tip: Focus in the moment on what needs attention now. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
My thanks to the horses and their owners for the gentle reminder.
